Father's Day will be celebrated on Sunday June 21, 2009. As a result of continuous significant and extensive historical and musical research conducted for the Father's Day programs, find out WHY the "perfect music genre" for Father's Day is found only on this program. Also, find out why and how I challenged the other "blue collar" genre of music experts and what the results of that challenge were. The results?... you'll just have to just tune in to find out...
The following is a partial PRESS RELEASE for the 21st Annual Father's Day Show:
In this time of national economic, political, and social uncertainty and aggravated stress, you can give your father, grandfather, and godfather a very special gift of music when you listen to and enjoy the "grandchild-tested and parent and grandparent-approved" Excel Award-winning program for outstanding multi-cultural programming, the European Ethnic Melodies Show, and the special presentation for the celebration of Father's Day to be broadcast on Tuesday June 16, 2009 from 7-10 P.M. on Binghamton University radio, WHRW, at 90.5 on the local FM dial and simulcast world-wide at www.whrwfm.org
The 21st Annual Father's Day program will honor fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, fathers-in-law, and step-fathers with the widest range of the most memorable eclectic, dynamic life-force, multi-ethnic folk, world, nationality, and polka music in many styles and tempos from two continents from the past century and more of recorded music. Your immigrant-ancestor fathers, grandfathers, and godfathers will be honored and remembered as the members of the family who made the initial journey to America so many years ago...in search of a better life and freedom for our families.
How many songs of the Balto-Slavic heritage have been written to honor fathers, grandfathers, and godfathers? From A to Z, starting with the Oberkrainer music of Slavko Avsenik , the World's Polka and Waltz King, and ending with Eddie Zima in just the polka music category, and then when you include all of the Lithuanian, Estonian, Latvian, Slovak, Czech, Moravian, Carpatho-Rusyn (Pod Karpatska Rus), Ukrainian, Russian, Croatian, Byelo-Russian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Dalmatian, Slovenian, Serbian, and the areas of the country formerly known as Jugo-Slavia...well ,...you'll just have to listen to the show on the Tuesday evening of June 16, 2009 from 7-10 at www.whrwfm.org for the answer.
A hint...When compared with and to ALL of the other genres of music for Father's Day, including C&W music , no other genre of music has as many songs to honor fathers, grandfathers, and godfathers. It's something to think about and to be proud of as you enjoy all the multi-ethnic music for Father's Day!!!
A NATION-WIDE Press Conference and Challenge to Country & Western Music as the PERFECT GENRE OF MUSIC FOR FATHER'S DAY is also POSSIBLE. Stay tuned for details...
By the way, WHO ALSO HAS THE PERFECT GENRE OF MUSIC FOR MOTHER'S DAY? (TAKE A GOOD GUESS!!!) Please note that the perfect genre of music for the Annual Mother's Day program, which was broadcast a few weeks ago, included ALL of the timeless treasures of multi-ethnic music of our Balto-Slavic heritage along with the most revered songs and hymns to honor the Blessed Mother during the entire month of May.
The special program for Father's Day IS emphatically, positively and DEFINITELY NOT "another polka show..." ...So, with all due respect and all respect due....have a Happy Father's Day!
As the European Ethnic Melodies Show celebrates ALL 5 seasons of the year, "I'd like to wish you all a very Happy Summer Solstice and a Very Happy Summer season.
And yes, the program will also feature the widest range of eclectic dynamic life-force multi-ethnic folk, world, nationality, and polka music for the celebration of summer.

P.S. FYI:
In 2009, the European Ethnic Melodies Show is also proudly celebrating the 5th year of combining the basic and advanced principles of music therapy with the unlimited parameters of multi-ethnic folk, world, nationality, and polka music to create the very first, original, pioneer, proto-type program in the nation designed to SLOW DOWN the aging process of an aging nation and society. Basically, it's "Wealth-of-Health and Wellness 101 and 501" combined with "Unlimited dimensions, parameters, and directions of eclectic Euro-American multi-ethnic, folk, world, nationality, and polka music 101 and 501."
That's just a sample of what is being done on the program to fight the day-to-day bouts with common pain and the ravages of aging, along with dementia, diminished capacity, depression, temporary and chronic mental fatigue, chronic pain, bi-polar disorder, and Alzheimer's disease.
How this anti-aging multi-ethnic music program originated and began is saved for another time and another place.
