You will be able to discover the true meaning of Christmas on non-commercial radio when you listen to the 21st Annual European Ethnic Melodies Show presentation of "A Holiday Tradition With Daniel Jan." Starting on Tuesday December 2, 2008 from 7-10 pm , the program will get you into the seasonal holiday spirit with an eclectic selection of music that will put a smile on your face and a song in your heart as well as make you feel good all over-both physically and mentally.
You'll enjoy the widest range and most diverse selection of multi-ethnic Christmas and holiday music for the celebration of both the Gregorian and Orthodox(Julian) calendar Christmas and the program celebrates this special time of the year with the finest in traditional carols, hymns, and songs from both Europe and the USA. In addition to all of the music for Advent, Christmas, the New Year, and Epiphany, the entire family will also enjoy the timeless and treasured traditions and customs from Europe which have been preserved over the years by our ancestors. These cus-toms and traditions will be woven into the musical mosaic of all the programs during the six-week presentation. In addition, you'll learn how to say "Merry Christmas and A Happy New year" in more than 30 languages, and, perhaps, you'll come to re-discover your own cultural heritage from Europe on the program that has been identified as the "Ultimate Cultural Experience" for over 21 years.
New dimensions and paradigms continue to be added to the program, including the Oberkrainer music for Christmas performed by many ensembles from Slovenia. The programs continue to feature rare and vintage recordings of Christmas and holiday music from the past century of recorded music as well as the traditional Christmas music played on national instruments such as the bandura, brac, balalaika, gajduk, zither, cymbalova(dulcimer), harmonike, kankelis, and tambura.
On the pioneer and original proto-type, multi-ethnic anti-aging show in the nation, the program's holiday music selections will feature all the eclectic, dynamic life-force music of your cultural heritage aong with vignettes of very positive wealth-of-health wellness information designed to slow down the aging process and to help with many of the problems associated with seasonal, family, personal, economic, and health-related holiday stress.
It's prime-time evening "grandchild-tested, and parent and grandparent-approved" programming with all of the timeless traditional musical treasures combined with all the beautiful memories associated with the celebration of Advent, Christmas, the New Year, and Epiphany.
